Atis Sweet root (commonly known as Atees Meetha or Atish Mithi) is a sister variant of the traditional bitter Atis Kadwa root. In commercial and folk herbal markets, it primarily refers to the root of Aconitum palmatum, though in certain regional texts, the non-toxic, highly cured Aconitum heterophyllum is also affectionately dubbed "Meethavish" (sweet poison) simply to highlight that it lacks deadly aconitine toxins
